How Many Hours Should You Rent a Yacht in Dubai?

How many hours should you rent a yacht in Dubai? Choose one hour for a brief private outing, two hours for more time together and photographs, or three hours when a less hurried pace is your priority. These are planning suggestions: the right duration depends on what your group wants to do, and a specific route must be confirmed with the team.
Our yachts have a one-hour minimum and are booked in whole hours. Available starts are offered in 30-minute intervals, with daytime and night-time options and support for trips that cross midnight. Choose the time onboard first, then check the vessel and start that fit your plan.

Duration quick facts
- Minimum booking: one hour.
- Duration options: whole hours, rather than half-hour increments.
- Start selection: 30-minute intervals, subject to availability.
- 58 ft Azimuth: AED500 per hour, up to 23 guests.
- 75 ft yacht: AED600 per hour, up to 40 guests.
- Daytime, night-time and cross-midnight bookings are supported.
A duration tells you how much time you are booking; it does not establish an itinerary. If seeing a particular place is the reason for your trip, ask the team to confirm a suitable duration and route before booking.
Choose a duration by the pace you want
| Duration | Consider it when | Planning trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| 1 hour | You want a brief private outing with a simple plan | Keep priorities limited; there is less room for several activities |
| 2 hours | You want more time to talk, enjoy being onboard and take photographs | More breathing space, with a higher whole-yacht total |
| 3 hours | A relaxed gathering matters more than fitting into a short schedule | Allow a longer block in everyone’s day and budget |
| More than 3 hours | Your group has a specific longer plan to discuss with the team | Confirm availability and the feasibility of requested activities |
When one hour is enough
One hour can suit a group whose main aim is simply to experience a private yacht together. Keep the plan focused. If everyone wants individual photographs, a group photograph, an organised celebration and unhurried conversation, a single hour may feel compressed even without adding a sightseeing wish list.
Do not choose one hour solely because it is the lowest total. Ask whether your group will be happy with a short outing. A clear, modest plan is more useful than hoping to fit every idea into the minimum booking.
Why choose two hours?
Two hours doubles the booked time compared with the minimum. It gives you more room to alternate photographs and conversation, which can be useful when several guests want their own pictures. It may also fit groups who want a private outing as one part of a wider day, rather than the main event.
When three or more hours makes sense
Three hours gives a group more time onboard without needing to keep every moment busy. Consider it when the gathering itself is the purpose and guests prefer a relaxed pace. For longer plans, tell the team what you hope to do so they can advise on duration and availability.
Longer does not automatically mean a particular landmark, swimming stop, meal or activity is included. Confirm every essential requirement separately. The right duration is the one that supports an agreed plan.
How much does an extra hour add?
Each extra hour adds AED500 on the 58 ft Azimuth or AED600 on the 75 ft yacht. The rate applies to the whole vessel, within its guest limit.
| Duration | 58 ft Azimuth | 75 ft yacht |
|---|---|---|
| 1 hour | AED500 | AED600 |
| 2 hours | AED1,000 | AED1,200 |
| 3 hours | AED1,500 | AED1,800 |
For ten guests sharing a three-hour booking equally, the illustrative share is AED150 each on the 58 ft or AED180 each on the 75 ft. These are budgeting calculations, not individual tickets. Your reservation is for the yacht, and any separately arranged requirements need their own confirmation.
Compare time and vessel size together. If your group fits within 23 guests, you can consider either yacht. If you have 24 to 40 guests, the 75 ft is the applicable option among these vessels. Our yacht rental price guide explains the group calculations in more detail.
Understand start times, whole hours and midnight
A half-hour start and a half-hour duration are different things. For example, selecting 4:30 PM and two hours gives a planned booking end of 6:30 PM. You are choosing a start on the half hour while keeping a whole-hour duration. This example explains the calculation; it does not indicate that a particular date or slot is available.
For a cross-midnight example, a two-hour booking starting at 11:30 PM on one date runs to 1:30 AM the next day. Review the start date carefully and make sure everyone understands which evening to arrive. This matters particularly when guests describe a plan informally as “Friday night” but book an early-morning time.
Daytime and night-time options let you choose the atmosphere that suits your group. If photographs at a particular light level are essential, discuss your date and preferences with the team. Do not treat a selectable start as a guarantee of sunset views, weather or a specific position on the water.
Make a short plan before reserving
- Count everyone attending. Choose a yacht that fits the complete guest list and confirm any capacity questions with the team.
- Name your main priority. A short private outing, group photographs and a leisurely celebration can need different amounts of time.
- Identify essential arrangements. Ask about food, drinks, decorations, transport and any requested activity; do not assume inclusion.
- Confirm route expectations. Obtain advice if a particular destination matters to the booking.
- Check the available start and duration. Review dates carefully for late-night trips and leave room in your wider plans for travel to boarding.
If your main priority is an included evening meal with a scheduled programme, compare a yacht with a dinner cruise before deciding. Our private yacht versus dinner cruise guide explains that choice.
Common duration questions
Can I rent for only 30 minutes?
No. The minimum is one hour. The 30-minute intervals apply to selectable start times.
Can I extend once onboard?
Do not rely on an extension being available. Choose sufficient time in advance and ask the team about any change you would like to make.
Does a three-hour booking include dinner?
Duration does not establish catering inclusions. Ask the team to confirm food and drink arrangements and any separate cost.
Is booking a request or a confirmed reservation?
Available yacht bookings can be made with Pay Online through Stripe or Pay on Arrival by cash or card. Pay on Arrival creates a confirmed, unpaid reservation.
